Subway tiles, also popularly known as Metro tiles, made their first appearance in the subway system underneath New York city. That is how they got their name.
Because of Victorian era’s obsession with cleanliness, the designers in early 1900 were given the herculean task to design a subway system that could be easily cleaned. At the same time the designers also had to create the aesthetic appeal of homeliness and familiarity so New Yorkers felt comfortable using the subway for their daily commute. The subway tiles with their glossy and shiney look were born and were used in the subway system.
A hundred years have passed since then, but the classic look of the subway tiles has not gone out of fashion. Even in the 21st century, subway tiles have retained the same fame that they had in the 1900’s. With 4 kilns, dedicated staff, 2 decades of experience in production of tiles, creative designers, President group will be manufacturing subway tiles in various sizes, shapes and surfaces that will reflect your personality on your walls. Our subway tiles will be available in both rectangular and square shapes. They will be available in the classical flat and beveled punches of course, and also in a natural rock rustic series. You can order our subway tiles in neutral colors such as whites, greys, blacks and blues which will make any space elegant and beautiful. You can also order them in colors from any shade of the rainbow to make your space trendy and hip.
